Join our weekly club built around the PBS lovable Labrador Retriever Martha! If you are familiar with this incredible canine you know when Martha eats alphabet soup, the letters go to her brain instead of her stomach and she speaks! This innovative reading program for struggling and beginning elementary age readers will increase vocabulary, build reading skills, develop self-esteem and social skills, and enhance a child's love of books and reading. Each week new vocabulary words will be highlighted in a short segment of the MARTHA SPEAKS television episode, and then reinforced as children read, talk and do fun Martha crafts with their Teen Reading Buddy. MARTHA members will also enjoy the variety of tie-in crafts they do in their Reading Buddies Groups and the free new books they receive to build their home libraries.
